An encapsulated O-ring is a high-performance sealing component consisting of a resilient elastomer core (Silicone or Viton/FPM) completely enclosed in a seamless, thin jacket of fluoropolymer (FEP or PFA). This design combines the elasticity of rubber with the chemical resistance of Teflon, protecting the core from aggressive chemicals and solvents while maintaining excellent compression set resistance.

Key Characteristics & Technical Details

Structure: A flexible elastomer core (Silicone for low temperatures, Viton/FKM for high chemical resistance) is surrounded by a tough FEP or PFA sheath.
